With no air resistance, a projectile launched at speed v0 and angle theta follows a parabola y(x) = x*tan(theta) - g*x^2 / (2 v0^2 cos^2(theta)), with g = 9.8 m/s^2. Drag the speed and angle and watch the range, peak height, and flight time change. Range is symmetric about 45 degrees - 30 and 60 degrees travel the same distance.
This is a fixed demonstration concept (NOVA's interactive-visual study modality); the per-misconception, per-course generated version is the frontier work that follows.
